Bats
The Buck's Senior Softball League standard for legal bats is ASA certified single wall aluminum bats with a BPF (Bat Performance Factor) of 1.2 or lower. Composite, Steel, multiwall, and multipiece bats are not permitted.
Please Note that if you use the list from USA Softball a number of DeMarini steel bats appear in their version of the list. These bats have been removed from pdf file on our web page as steel bats are not approved for use in the Bucks Senior Softball league.
Bats must also meet inspection criteria for cracks, dents, and must pass a 2 1/4 inch roundness test. Older bats not on the list or bats where the model cannot be identified will no longer be certified. Bats that meet the above criteria will be labeled with a sticker identifying that they are approved for game play.
The aluminum bats listed as certified by USA Softball are for the most part acceptable for use. It is highly recommended that a new player intending to purchase a bat verify the bat make and model number with the league before making the purchase.
The link below is a pdf of the approved bat list. It's 29 pages long in alphabetical order by bat manufacturer. I recommend that you view it to see if the bat you are interested in purchasing is listed. I highly recommend that you do not print the entire thing, ever!
If you click on the link below it it will go to the bat list. Use the back arrow on your browser window to exit the list and return to this web page
