Welcome in the New Year and New Sponsors


New Sponsors

We will have two new sponsors in 2023 and I am very pleased to introduce them to you.

Covered Bridge Coffee Roasters located at 220 Elmwood Ave in Feasterville is a locally owned and operated roasting company that specializes in custom and unique coffee blends and loose leaf tea.  They import coffee beans and tea leaves from all around the world and create custom blends tailored to the tastes of Bucks County.

Nichols Pool Service has been servicing in ground pools in Bucks County and the surrounding area since 1955.   That would make them a little bit older than some of our players.  Not too many of them, but some.  The pools they've installed, and the pool transformations pictured on their web page are very impressive.

I encourage you to check out their web pages by clicking on their icons in the "Our Sponsor's" bar that appears at the bottom of the screen.

2023 Status

We already have 109 players registered for the 2023 season.  This puts us well ahead of player recruitment numbers in all of our previous seasons. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome and introduce 10 new registered players.  Jack Cohen, Tom Cosgrove, June Crawford, Bob Fox, Lee Jaslow, Ron Long, Andrew Makowitz, John Miranda, Frank Slack and Steve Weiss.

Web Page Cleanup and Updates

At the end of the season it becomes necessary to go in and clean up the web page.  I need to remove all the news articles from last year
and make space for the coming season.  I concatenate all the news files into one big old pdf file that I store under the Archive tab.  Some of the classic moments from the 2022 season will be preserved there, the first ever All Star Game, the day the Devils scored 5 runs and only sent 5 batters to the plate, the time you hit two 3 run home runs in a tournament game (that might not have been you). 

Thanks to Bill Russell we were able to update our League History file in the Archives to include some team pictures from 2012 to 2016.  If you check out the team pictures you might notice that Bill was on every one of those teams.  Thanks Bill.
